This April, join Blue Cliff College in celebrating records and information management month. It was created to help promote good record keeping and information management. The emphasis for the month should be on the importance of having structured and organized records.
With Health Information Management (HIM) training at Blue Cliff, you will work to acquire, analyze and protect patient medical information and become a vital part of providing quality patient care.
Technology is transforming the way the healthcare industry functions. Traditional records are now being replaced with electronic health records. This will require more emphasis on detailed and precise clinical documentation. The Health Information Management professional role is becoming more important. The person in this position keeps accurate and organized health information that will allow healthcare routines to run smoothly with new healthcare technological advancements.
Health Information Management Billing and Coding (HIMBC) classes are offered here at Blue Cliff College. This program focuses on the administrative skills needed for settings such as doctor’s offices, hospitals, and clinics. Additionally, graduates are also prepared to work in nursing care facilities, outpatient care centers, and home healthcare services. It is truly a rewarding field. We would love to have you here at Blue Cliff College. For more information about the HIMBC Program please contact Blue Cliff College. Mrs. Alice Session, our Lead HIMBC Instructor, who has 29 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry, would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
